Kwadron’s pen machines are often overlooked by artists who associate price with quality. But these machines are workhorses that hold many of the characteristics of traditional coil and rotary machines which makes them the perfect option for artists looking to get into pens for the first time. Take a look at what Kwadon’s pen lineup has to offer:

Equaliser Proton MX

The Equalizer Proton may be the lowest priced pen in the Eikon store but don’t let that fool you! When it comes to quality and performance, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck...

A popular choice for artists buying their first pen, the Proton MX comes in at 4.6 oz and is slightly top-weighted, giving it the feel and balance of a more traditional-style tattoo machine. Although the Proton MX pen offers reduced vibration compared to most rotary-style machines, vibration is slightly more noticeable than with the Cheyenne Hawk and Xion.

Artists often comment that the Proton MX Pen offers a harder hit than the Cheyenne Hawk pen, and is more comparable to linear rotaries like NeoTat.

Equaliser Proton Enduro

Just like the original Proton pen, Kwadron has designed the Enduro for those who like the counterbalance of a traditional machine. The 4.5W Faulhaber motor at its core is ultra quiet and has almost no vibration! With the lightest weight available in the Eikon store, the Enduro has a rounded, ergonomic shape, and its 25mm grip is what really differentiates the Enduro pen from its older brother the original Equaliser Proton.

With a 3.5mm stroke, the Enduro is the perfect solution for all types of work; lining, shading and packing. A “jack-of-all-trades” with limitless potential - See for yourself - we’ve got it in the Eikon Store.

Equaliser Drop Pen

The Drop pen is quite different from other machines in the Equaliser lineup. It has a much shorter body and a wider diameter, and while it may look harmless, the quiet motor driving it is powerful - think of it as a bull. The low centre of gravity helps with stabilization, and the ergonomic design allows you to tattoo through long sessions without feeling the effects of hand fatigue.

With a static 3.5mm stroke and a weight of about 6.3oz, the 6w motor will give you enough power to push even the bigger needle groupings. This versatile machine works great for color-packing, shading and lining.

This is the first pen in the Equaliser line to offer a clickable needle-depth adjustment and a steel-bearing adjustment system.

The Kwadron pen lineup offers affordable workhorses that share many of the characteristics of traditional coil and rotary machines. This makes them the perfect option for artists looking to dip their toe… or needle into pens for the first time.
